American Airlines Passenger Freaks Out After Being Kicked Off Plane for Playing Videos on Loudspeaker
A passenger on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Tampa caused a scene after she was removed from the aircraft for repeatedly playing videos on her phone without headphones. According to witnesses and video shared online, flight attendants asked the woman several times to stop playing the videos out loud before the plane departed. The passenger allegedly became belligerent, used profanity, and argued with crew members, claiming she only played the video for “about 30 seconds.”
The situation escalated when the traveler continued shouting at airline staff and challenging them to call the police. Law enforcement eventually boarded the plane and escorted her off as other passengers applauded. Witnesses described the woman as confrontational and possibly intoxicated even before takeoff, and the incident quickly went viral after being posted on TikTok.
Airlines increasingly require passengers to use headphones when watching videos or listening to music on personal devices, and disruptive behavior can result in removal from the flight or possible travel bans.
