Celebrating Excellence: Contra Costa County to Honor Top Educators at 53rd Annual Awards

Contra Costa County to Honor Top Educators

Contra Costa County is gearing up for a special evening dedicated to recognizing the educators who go above and beyond for their students and schools. On Thursday, September 25, 2025, the county will host the 53rd Annual Teacher of the Year Dinner & Celebration at the Hilton Concord Hotel.

The event will spotlight 22 district-level Teachers of the Year, selected from across the county’s school districts for their dedication, impact, and passion for teaching. From this group, two standout educators will be chosen to represent Contra Costa County in the California State Teacher of the Year program, one of the most prestigious honors in education statewide.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a formal awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Guests can expect heartfelt video tributes, speeches from educational leaders, and a powerful sense of community as peers and supporters come together to celebrate educational excellence.

Organized by the Contra Costa County Office of Education, the celebration underscores the vital role that teachers play in shaping future generations. It also serves as a public reminder that excellence in education should not only be recognized—it should be celebrated.

Tickets are available now through the Contra Costa County Office of Education’s website. Whether you're an educator, parent, student, or community member, this is a chance to show support for the individuals who make a lasting difference in the classroom.
