From Sitcoms to Smoked Ribs: Anthony Anderson and Cedric the Entertainer Open AC Barbeque in Century City
Anthony Anderson and Cedric the Entertainer have officially taken their love for food from the screen to the smoker with the grand opening of their new restaurant, AC Barbeque, located on the rooftop dining deck of Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. The restaurant opened to the public on May 7, 2025, following a celebrity-filled launch event that featured appearances from Don Cheadle, Martin Lawrence, and Marlon Wayans.
AC Barbeque is the latest evolution in the duo’s culinary ventures, which began in 2024 with a campus kitchen at Jackson State University and a food truck stationed at Howard University. Their first full-service restaurant is a celebration of Southern-style barbecue, brought to life by renowned pitmaster Burt Bakman, known for his work with Slab Barbecue and Trudy’s Underground Barbecue.
The menu features a wide selection of smoked meats including St. Louis ribs, pulled pork, chopped brisket, smoked chicken, and wings. Diners can pair their entrées with comfort food sides like macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, sweet potato fries, and cornbread. Sandwiches, served on Martin’s potato buns, come with Southern-inspired toppings such as their signature Comeback sauce. Rounding out the experience are classic beverages like sweet tea, Arnold Palmers, and lemonade, along with dessert favorites like banana pudding with Nilla wafers.
In addition to serving flavorful barbecue, Anderson and Cedric have launched a line of branded rubs and sauces, including “The MVP,” “Midnight Smoke,” and “Lemon Stepper.” These items are available for purchase in-store and online, allowing fans to bring a bit of AC Barbeque home.
The restaurant is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., providing a new rooftop dining option for shoppers and foodies in Los Angeles.
