"Kickflips and Cholesterol Checks"Skate or Retire: Mr. Earl Chose Both

You ever see a 67-year-old Black man in socks and sandals pull up to a skatepark, nod at the kids, then drop into a half-pipe like he's got unfinished X-Games business?

That’s Mr. Earl.

We thought he was lost. Turns out he was legendary. Dude pulled off a 360 spin, manualed a bench, and stuck the landing like Simone Biles on vacation. Then he dabbed. I almost called an ambulance—for me.

Turns out, Mr. Earl was part of a ‘70s skate crew called “Rollin’ Thunder.” Just retired from the post office and figured it was time for a comeback.

Lesson? Don’t judge a man by his orthotics. That Kangol might be hiding a Tony Hawk-level secret.
