Outkast Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025

Atlanta’s own Outkast has officially been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. The iconic hip-hop duo—comprised of André 3000 and Big Boi—joins a prestigious group of artists recognized for their cultural impact and musical innovation.
This induction marks Outkast’s first nomination and immediate acceptance into the Hall of Fame, a testament to their groundbreaking contributions to Southern hip-hop and the genre as a whole. Their creative evolution is reflected across their influential discography, including:
• Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik (1994)
• ATLiens (1996)
• Aquemini (1998)
• Stankonia (2000)
• Speakerboxxx/The Love Below (2003), which earned Diamond certification and a Grammy for Album of the Year
• Idlewild (2006)
The 2025 induction ceremony will take place on November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It will stream live on Disney+, broadcast on ABC at a later date, and become available for streaming on Hulu the following day.
Other inductees include Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, and Joe Cocker. Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon will receive the Musical Influence Award, while Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye will be honored for Musical Excellence. Lenny Waronker is set to receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
Outkast’s induction underscores their enduring legacy and the growing recognition of hip-hop’s place in rock and roll history.
